How to choose an offerwall network
Most comparisons rank networks by how big they say they are. The questions below tell you more: how conversions are tracked, how reversals reach you, and when money actually moves. Ask them of anyone, including us. Our answers are under each one.
How do I integrate it?
An SDK is quick to add but ties your app to someone else's release schedule and design. A hosted page is quicker still but looks like another product inside yours. An API is more work up front and gives you full control over the screen.
Our answer: a REST offers API and a click link per offer. No SDK.
How will my server know a user earned something?
You want a server-to-server postback, with a signature you can check. A callback you cannot verify can be faked by anyone who finds the URL.
Our answer: GET postbacks to your URL, with an HMAC-SHA256 signature, a conversion ID for de-duplication, and retries over about 14 hours.
What happens when a conversion is reversed?
Reversals happen on every network. What matters is whether you are told, per conversion, in time to take the reward back from the user, or whether it simply shows up as a smaller payment months later.
Our answer: a reversal postback for the same conversion ID. If it was already paid, it is a separate line on your next payout statement.
When am I paid, and what is the minimum?
Ask for the hold period, the minimum, the currency, and whether you get a statement that lists conversions.
Our answer: earnings become payable 30 days after each conversion, the minimum is $50, payouts are in USD, and every payout has a statement. Full payout terms.
Will the offers fit my users?
A long list is useless if most offers do not run in your users' countries or on their devices. Ask whether the network filters for you and prices per country, and whether offers that have closed are caught before the user wastes time on them.
Our answer: the API filters by country and platform and returns country prices. The click link re-checks country, device and daily cap before sending anyone to the advertiser. Offers can pay in several steps.
Who reviews publishers, and how is fraud handled?
Networks that accept anyone end up with traffic advertisers do not trust, and the payouts drop for everyone. Ask how publishers are approved and what happens to suspicious traffic.
Our answer: a person reviews every application. Clicks are screened against datacenter, VPN and Tor lists and for patterns such as many accounts on one IP; our team reviews the flags.
Questions
Which offerwall pays the most?
It depends on your users' countries, devices and what they are willing to do. The only reliable answer is to test networks with your own audience and compare what you actually earn per user.
Can I run more than one offerwall?
Many apps do. Make sure each network's postbacks credit the same user balance and that you de-duplicate by each network's conversion ID.
